This is normally a lifetime component but it can get damaged in a variety of ways. Typically, the splines get sheared off if the axle fails.

- Loose Wheel: If the wheel hub is severely damaged, it may cause the wheel to feel loose or wobbly when you shake it while the vehicle is parked. This is especially concerning if it happens after changing a tire
