STi Shortblock EJ257

This 2.5L EJ257 shortblock that comes as standard issue in the USDM STi will easily swap into nearly any Subaru Impreza WRX or STI with a turbocharged 4 cylinder motor. It is an excellent choice for any Subaru WRX (EJ20) owner looking for an increase in displacement and torque. In its stock form, this block is capable of reliably supporting 465 crank HP and can be easily built to withstand more power. When coupled with the stock Subaru WRX heads, more torque and power will be realized but the the true potential of this EJ257 short block will be unleashed with upgraded cams and valvetrain.

This brand new, completely assembled, Subaru OEM EJ257 short block is ordered directly from Subaru. This Subaru WRX / STI short block is ready to go right out of the crate. Simply bolt on your cylinder heads (WRX or STI) and accessories and it is ready to be installed in your car.This is the OEM short block that came in the 2011+ STI. This has the better crank (induction hardened) and not the nitrided crank shaft that was in earlier motors.
